Day One

Well, I am off and running with it. Last night I made one day's worth of the lemonade drink. Squeaked so many lemons to come up with 12 tablespoons of juice. I was grateful for my Pampered Chef juicer. I haven't received the Grade B Organic Maple Syrup but I used Pure Grade A until I get the other in the mail. I was surprised how good the drink really is. The cayenne pepper which I used 1/2 teaspoon for 60 ounces of water wasn't bad at all.

I was very afraid of my lack of caffeine in the morning. So, I stopped drinking coffee 3 days ago. The headache was still very severe, I took some Motrin and it did get better. I did not drink the saltwater beverage, I cannot tolerate that, I didn't even try it. Just based on every one's experience that I've read, I know it's not happening. However, the dieter's tea I took last night did the job just fine. There's so many tea's out on the market but I think I am going to stick to the one I am used to. The instructions say to drink it at bedtime and in the morning. Well, I didn't take it this morning. But I will tomorrow morning.

One of the things that will take some getting use to is drinking water, I don't intake water all that well. I will need to drink no more than half the amount of lemonade beverage every day of water per day. I am foreseeing going home this evening will not be easy, at work today it hasn't been hard since Carolann doesn't eat anyway. Kim had a salad from McD. Now at home Curt will be eating something healthy which I will probably will want to eat too. He has decided today, he wants to do a cleanse also. Not the Master Cleanse but something similar, this will be interesting.

I can't wait for the 3-4 day mark when I will have more energy. This is the other reason I want to do the cleanse. Energy, I can't seem to get energized for nothing lately. Over the weekend, whenever I came in from doing yard work, I was ready to die.

Well, I made it through day 1. I have a headache right now but I usually do when I am hungry. I just finished my tea and it's time to go to bed.

Goals

Hello everyone! Lately, I have been sick with sinus infections. One after the other... I am on my 3rd set of meds and still nothing. I know the allergy season is in full force but still I am so tired of being sick.

Last week, Shari Mesh was in the office, she's our jewelry appraiser. We were discussing my health condition at the time. My stuffy head and the fact that antibiotics weren't taking care of the infection. Shari asked if I had tried the "Master Cleanse". I have never heard of it. I have gotten stuff from GNC before, currently I was taking SLIMQUICK, this consists of a 7 day cleanse and then the dieting following. I thought it would be a good system because it was made for women. In the past because of feeling bloated I have taken Colon Relief natural capsules. And not to forget the Dieting Tea also bought at GNC, I never took it more than 2 nights in a row. But never the "Master Cleanse". I had to google it when I got home. Read about it well into the night. I even read journals like the one I am starting here, I wanted to read how others have taken the experience. The more I learned about it the more I thought this would be a good remedy to my health problems.

I shared with Curt that I had decided to do it. He reserved his thoughts and comments until he got home but his feeling on this was that it wouldn't be good for me, and he didn't think anyone could possibly make it through 10 days of drinking just a lemonade drink. But I insisted that all I wanted to do was cleanse my body. I understand he's concerned how this will effect me but I am sure of one thing, if I don't try it, I'll never know if it works. I plan on keeping a diary for as long as I am doing it. Maybe I can help others that are also thinking about it in making the right choice for them.
